The other night when I spoke to my dad over the phone, I asked him if there was anything he wanted or needed for Christmas. Well, since my oldest nephew and niece live with him now, he says he's been collecting a lot more garbage. I'm sure you can imagine. My mother in law has a really nice set of outdoor furniture. The only problem is it isn't weather resistant. I think I'm going to suggest that she looks into purchasing some teak tables and chairs. In case you didn't know, teak is weather resistant and for those of you living in areas with them, it's also resistant to termite attacks. The weather resistant thing is pretty important, especially here. We live in an area that gets a lot of rain and in the winter, a lot of snow.

I am really looking forward to getting our new place. When Jo and I get moved into our next place, I am really excited about adding some personal touches to it. I have been trying to come up with some ideas as to what I want on the walls throughout our new place (which we plan to buy sometime next year). One thing I would love to do in our computer room is have vibrant artwork on the walls. I am hoping to have cobalt blue walls, so vibrant artwork is going to work great in there.
I really love the pieces by Jean-Claude Picot at the Park West Art Gallery. They are so colorful and the colors are so vibrant, which I want for my own home. My favorite pieces is a still life piece called Le Vase Bleu de Madrid. I could even see this in my living room. It is a really fun piece. I also adore Floral Arch I by Natalie Levine. It reminds me of the archway leading up to my great grandmothers old house.

With all of the excitement looming over out move to Newfoundland, I've been trying to come up with ideas for our place. It'll be at least a month or two after we get there, before we will actually be in our own place but that isn't going to stop me from looking for decor and such in the mean time.
