The closer my savings account balance gets to the amount me camera will cost, the more excited I get. I don't even know if excited is the word for it. I've been browsing around a few digital photography sites and galleries today, just getting an idea of the type of quality and images I can expect. The more I browse, the more I want my camera ASAP. It's definitely been a long time coming, that's for sure and while I'm trying my darndest to be patient, it isn't working.
With any luck though.. I'll be ordering it before Christmas!
Here's hoping.
It seems like there's something new for webmasters coming out everyday. For example; Those of you who run commercial websites, did you know that www.protexters.com provides a service "ProTexters" which can send automatic text messages to your phone from your website? It's true. Say you've got a new order that's been placed, you can set it up so that you receive a text message when new orders are placed. This could help with your order processing times. To learn more about how you can set up this service for your own website, visit them at their website - www.protexters.com.
---------------------------------
The ProTexters service sends automatic text messages to your phone from
your web page. You can control the circumstances when the messages are
sent, as well as what information is included. The messages can contain
selected items of text from a form input that a user has entered.
This has huge benefits for commercial web sites. For example the web site owner can be informed immediately of new orders, giving more time to process the order, and procure any supplies needed to complete the order.
The service also holds significant benefits for customer relations. A business is far more likely to win a sale if an enquiry can be followed up immediately, while the potential customer is still freshly interested, perhaps even still looking at the site.
Messages can also be sent whenever certain pages are visited, giving benefits to monitoring and security.
Controls are in place to limit the number of messages sent and the circumstances when messages are sent. For example the sending of a message can be skipped if the visitor has opted not to enter a particular field, such as his/her phone number.
After registration the 'Texters' can be created and managed. These
are then installed on the host web site by the inclusion of a single
line of HTML in the section. The service therefore does
not modify the look of the page in any way, and is easily installed.
Once installed in this way, the various settings for the Texter can be
managed from the ProTexters site. Multiple Texters can be installed on
the same site, and even on the same page.
Registration is free, and the only costs are for the actual
messages sent. These cost around $0.25 each, depending on the number
purchased.
The service is worldwide, and works with most phone service providers.
ProTexters is provided by Mercia Networks, a well established UK company, who specialize in functional business web sites.
My hands are like solid blocks of ice. No lie. It's absolutely freezing inside and probably colder outside. It's been snowing off and on this morning which is strange because I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be partly cloudy with no chance of rain. Just cooler. Sure didn't need an alarm clock today. The cold in the room woke me up this morning and kept me from going back to bed.

Well it seems I've done something to my right foot today. I have no idea how I could've managed to do that but for the last few hours the top and heel of my right foot have been giving me some horrible pain. I'd ask Jo to massage it but I'm one of those people who can't stand for anyone to touch my feet. I don't mind feet in general but under no circumstances to I want anyone touching my own. Jo's not a foot person either, which is the other reason why I'm not even going to ask for that foot massage. I wish I had one of those home foot massage systems. That'd be a better option.
It's true, I love lemons but only the edible ones. I personally haven't had the experience of buying a "lemon" but I've known several people who have been sold lemons, including a handful of relatives. The car buying thing is hard enough as it is but imagine the frustrations people feel when they've gone through that part of the process only to find that what they've been sold and are supposed to trust their life in on the roads is defective. For those people, they need to know about the Ohio based lemon law lawyers. These lawyers represent car buyers, for both new and used cars, who believe they've purchased a lemon car, truck, motorcycle or even an RV. They'll even provide you with free information regarding automotive recall information and direct you to a lemon law attorney in your own area with their nationwide referral.
They say when you've been given a lemon you should make lemonade, here's your lemonade - Ohiolemonlaw.com.
Jo almost had some explaining to do with my in laws. Why? Well, he was trying to help them out with their slow computer problem by giving them an extra stick of ram. I have a few extra sticks, a 256mb and a couple of 512mb sticks. After he took the casing off and checked to see if my ram would work with their computer, Jo put the case back on and hooked everything back up. After that he powered it up only to get all kinds of strange racket from the thing and a black screen on the monitor. Ruh Roh. Repeat those steps three times before Jo realized he didn't hook everything back up like he'd thought.
Very close call. I don't think his sister would have forgiven him for a long, long time if he'd screwed up their computer. HAHA!
My mother in law recently ran out of ink for her printer. When she asked for us to pick up some cartridges for her, she had no idea what kind of cartridge we needed to get and of course, we weren't home at the time, we were out of town. It's a shame she didn't know about Cartridge Finder at that time because it's the perfect place to find out what cartridges are required for thousands of printers, copiers and fax machines. Now my mother in law isn't all that internet savvy but honestly, Cartridge Finder has such an easy to use interface that anyone, including my not-so-internet-savvy mother in law, could use. You can select a brand from the drop down menu or if you use a popular brand, you can browse by major brands. Either way it's a breeze.
We should have a fairly peaceful weekend. Crossing fingers. My sister in law and her boyfriend are going to be staying over at his parents until late tomorrow or maybe until Sunday. I don't mind them really, especially JD because he's really sweet and all but the drama that carries on between the two is more than I care for. I can handle it at times, especially in smaller doses but with them, it's like smaller doses don't even exist.
Tonight, my in laws have decided we'll be making it a movie night. My mother in law is preparing hot beef sandwiches for supper. If you have no idea what that is, it's similar to a beef dip sandwich - hot beef, cheese and gravy on a sandwich. Very delicious, you should try it.
