Life has been pretty busy for the last couple of weeks, and especially so for the last week. Jo's grandmother passed away last Wednesday and her funeral was this past Saturday. Naturally we were all sad but we were all lucky enough to get to say goodbyes and she was able to do the same since she was still in the right "state of mind" days before her passing. We all know she was at peace and that is certainly helping with all of our healing.
I have been busy working on a couple of new projects, some that will not launch for a few weeks but one is already up and running - eyetakepictures.com which is my daily photoblog. My primary goal for this blog is to take and post at least one picture everyday. That may not seem difficult for most people but I have tried this in the past and it can turned into quite the task. Here's hoping though. I'm going to give it a try.
A few days ago one of my close friends was showing me the birth announcements she bought from Tiny*Prints, they're absolutely adorable. Until then, I didn't realize that you could buy other types of greetings from them like business holiday greeting cards, thank you cards, gift tags and baby shower invitations. I was just browsing through their selection of new 2007 holiday cards and can't decide on which ones I like best - they're all wonderful. Winter is just around the corner and everyone knows that with winter comes Christmas. This is the perfect time to buy those holiday greeting cards for your loved ones, co-workers and employees. Keep Tiny*Print in mind when you start shopping, you will not be disappointed that you did.
I'm not sure if it's something I ate earlier today or if I'm coming down with a stomach bug but my, my if I'm not sick. I've been feeling really nauseated and at times even a little light headed. I tried laying down earlier but that didn't seem to help and depending on the position I was in, even made it worse. I really hate this queasy, almost unsettled feeling.
If it isn't a stomach bug and wasn't anything I've eaten, it has to be all of the stress as of late. With Jo's grandmother being sick (well, dying :/), there's just been so much going on every single day. Emotions are high and tensions are even higher. I'd say that could possibly be what's wrong with me now that I think about it.
Can you believe, Christmas is right around the corner? It seems like the second school gets underway, all of the holidays just sneak right up on us, doesn't it? I don't know about you but I personally love the giving part of the holidays. But you know, even so, I still try to keep a check on my wallet and stick to a budget as best as possible. How do I do this? Well, normally I would use regular coupons but since I plan to take my holiday shopping to the internet this year, I will be looking for online deals and coupon codes, which I (and you) can find over at Couponchief.com!
Other than the spending aspect, I often struggle with ideas on what to get my loved ones. Luckily, many of my loved ones decided to give me a list - early. My husband is itching for a new pair of Nike sneakers and I managed to find Nike Coupons which will help me buy them within my budget - I can save up to 30% on the Air Equalon for men! My sister in law loves clothes, handbags and generally, anything in pink. She should be fairly easy to shop for them with Delias Coupons. She has already put in a request for a pink sweater, hoodie and of course the handbag, so I am happy to see a coupon for free shipping on anything $75 and more. Either way, I am going to spend that $75 so to get the shipping for free is awesome.
If you are looking for great deals and online coupons, Couponchief.com is the place you need to be. This is a time for giving, not worrying about the money being spent!
It's hard to believe that Jo and I will celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary on Saturday. I've been teasing him for the last week or so, telling him that I wanted breakfast in bed, a massage, lunch at a small diner, walk along the bay and dinner at home (cooked by him). Of course I'm only joking. I don't expect him to wait on me hand and foot like that but the thought, admittedly, is nice. If his grandmother is still with us on Saturday, I suspect we'll spend most of the day by her side and probably just catch dinner somewhere in town before coming home. I don't expect a big shin-dig because of the situation with his grandmother (she is dying of cancer).
I have no idea what to get him as far as a gift though, the only thing I can think of is a photo of him with his grandmother - having it blown up and framed. I just haven't had much time to really think about it honestly but maybe as things start to calm down around here, I will think of something!
But like I said, it's still hard to believe we're celebrating 8 years.

I keep forgetting that I am an hour and a half ahead of my family. For some reason I keep thinking we are still behind him by 3 hours. It's almost 9:30pm here (Newfoundland) but for some reason I was thinking it was after midnight EST. Boy was I off! It took me a few months to get into MST (mountain standard time), I wonder how long it will take me to get into being in NT (Newfoundland time)?
There are many benefits to having and driving an eco-friendly car. Not only are you doing something that is better for the environment, you are also doing something that is a bit "nicer" to your wallet. When you buy insurance for an eco-friendly car, you may find that the insurance is a lot cheaper. Car insurance, depending on where you live, can sometimes make or break a new car (or even older car) deal but it is something we all have to have.
The next time my husband and I get a new car, we plan to look into an eco-friendly car, not only because of what we would be doing for our environment but also because we want to be able to save money anywhere we can. That includes insurance on our car. Cheap Car Insurance can be hard to find for some. Lucky you, you have stumbled onto this entry. Kwik-fitinsurance.com is a great place for you to find affordable car insurance. You will also find a variety of discounts like an up to 20% discount when you buy online, that will save you even more money and isn't that something we all want and need these days?
If you live in the UK and are looking for affordable insurance on your eco-friendly car, or you are planning to buy an eco-friendly car and are looking for affordable insurance, check them out today - Kwik-fitinsurance.com. You can obtain a quote right from the site, so what are you waiting for?
One of the things that I love (and really missed) about being here with Jo's family is that we have breakfast and dinner together everyday. My family rarely did this because we were all always somewhere else - work, the gym, out for a walk or shopping, things like that. It was something I looked forward to everyday when we came here last Christmas and something I longed for after we left. I am so thankful to have that back because it is the time where we can all catch up with what is going on with each and everyone of us.
I am really looking forward to getting our new place. Just looking at all of the adorable homes along the coast really excites me and gets my mind thinking up ideas about what I want to do in my home. I love windows, so window treatments are definitely a must. Roman shades will be the perfect touch in our home. Not only will they add a little style to each room they are placed in but they are functional. At Justblinds.com, you can find an assortment of Roman shades in a variety of colors, in both hobbled and flat styles and at a fraction of the cost of custom draperies.
